Full Description

The site of a military WWII camp or depot is visible on aerial photographs taken in 1947 {1}. The site comprises a series of at least 28 subcircular features 4.5m across set on a regular grid pattern. Four larger oval structure s lie to the west. The site is very similar to that described in MDO24372 which presumably had a similar date and function. The sites of these structures are visible as parchmarks and were digitally plotted during the South Dorset Ridgeway Mapping Project.
