Full Description
These landing craft were sunk here in 1946-7 to act as breakwaters for the developing port of Hamworthy. They are visible on the aerial photograph of 1947. (1)
The craft described above in (1) is still visible on aerial photographs of 2008, with three other vessels along side it (see child records). The wreck measures approximately 57 m by 11 m. This site was digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset). (2)
