A circular pit and an associated bank is visible as cropmarks and low earthworks on aerial photographs {1-2}. It is of uncertain date and function, most probably the site of a post medieval chalk pit or a dew pond. This feature was digitally plotted during the South Dorset Ridgeway Mapping Project
