The site of a post medieval gravel pit is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs {1} and was digitally plotted during the South Dorset Ridgeway Mapping Project. A limekiln is also recorded at this location (MDO3282) and it is likely that the gravel pit is related to this feature.
