Its close proximity to a quadruple Bronze Age bell barrow suggests it could be an associated feature. Alternatively it could relate to post medieval extractive activity.

Full Description
A circular hollow, approximately 7.7m in diameter, surrounded by an outer bank around 3m in width, is visible as a cropmark on aerial photographs {1-2}. It is of uncertain date and function. Its close proximity to a quadruple Bronze Age bell barrow (MDO3191) suggests it could be an associated feature. Alternatively it could relate to post medieval extractive activity. It was digitally plotted during the South Dorset Ridgeway Mapping Project.
