Full Description
In 1520 the abbot of Sherborne gave a piece of ground formerly the court-place, to erect the church-house and provide a way to a well called Berie Well within the court orchard. <1>
The site falls in a small grass-covered re-entrant which has evidently been created by a spring. A modern well has been erected on the site and water from this issues forth a few yards to the north. There were no visible traces of antiquity. <3>
