A group of three pits are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs. One is marked as an old chalk pit on the 1880 OS MAP, probably of post medieval date. The other two are considered likey to be of a similar origin.

A group of three pits are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs {1-4}. One is marked as an old chalk pit on the 1880 OS MAP {5}, probably of post medieval date. The other two are considered likey to be of a similar origin. They were digitally plotted during the South Dorset Ridgeway Mapping Project.
