Full Description
Several extractive pits or hollows are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs to the south and east of Wyke Wood. They are considered to be of post medieval or early 20th century origin. A group of possible spoil heaps are also visible at the south-east end of the wood {1-2}. The features were digitally plotted during the South Dorset Ridgeway Mapping Project.
