Fragments of a series of parallel lynchets are visible as low earthworks on aerial photographs on the northern slopes of Hewish Hill {1-4]. They may be of medieval date although a natural origin cannot be ruled out. The features were digitally plotted during the South Dorset Ridgeway Mapping Project.
