Full Description

A lime kiln is marked at this location on the OS 1st edition map. It is visible as an extant structure on aerial photographs taken in 1946 {1}. Three Lime kilns are also mentioned within the HER at different grid references (MDO881, 887 and 888), any of which may relate to this feature. The site was digitally plotted during the South Dorset Ridgeway Mapping Project.
