Two sections of military slit trenching are visible as earthworks and cropmarks on aerial photographs taken in 1942 and 1946 {1-2}. The plough-levelled sites of these WWII features are clearly visible as cropmarks on photographs taken in 2004 {3}. They were digitally plotted during the South Dorset Ridgeway Mapping Project and are associated with the enclosures described in MDO25753.
