Summary
A mound is visible as a cropmark on aerial photographs The date and function of this feature are uncertain; it is possibly the remains of a Bronze Age barrow. Alternatively it could be the site of a former folly, suggested by a nearby clump of woodland shown on the 1880 OS map which is called 'Folly Plantation'

Full Description
A mound, approximately 22.4m in diameter, is visible as a cropmark on aerial photographs {1-2} and was digitally plotted during the South Dorset Ridgeway Mapping Project. The date and function of this feature are uncertain; it is possible that it is the plough-levelled remains of a Bronze Age barrow. Alternatively it could be the site of a former folly, suggested by a nearby clump of woodland shown on the 1880 OS map which is called 'Folly Plantation' {3}.
