An enclosing bank, roughly 115m x 117m, is visible as earthworks on aerial photographs {1}. Within the enclosure is the remains of a possible gun emplacement, and a shorth length of zig-zag trench. The site is considered likely to be remains of a military training or defensive area of First or Second World War date. It was digitally plotted for the South Dorset Ridgeway Mapping project.
