A World War II type 26 pillbox identified on the slopes to the south of Stavordale Wood and visible an extant structure on aerial photographs. {1-2}. It was situated within the Abbotsbury Defence which was defended by the 6th Battalion Durham Light Infantry. The site was digitally plotted during the South Dorset Ridgeway Mapping Project.
