Full Description

A rectilinear building with curved roof profile is visible on aerial photographs taken in 1948 {1} to the east of the landing stage at Morkhams Lake. It is potentially the site of a World War II nissen hut. It is situated within the Abbotsbury Defence which was defended by the 6th Battalion Durham Light Infantry. The site was digitally plotted during the South Dorset Ridgeway Mapping Project.
