Linear features, probably WWII slit trenching, visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1940 within the medieval lynchets to the south of Stavordale Wood. {1}. The features are situated within the Abbotsbury Defence which was defended by the 6th Battalion Durham Light Infantry and were digitally plotted during the South Dorset Ridgeway Mapping Project.
