The probable remains of a medieval deserted settlement are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs to the north-east of Elworth Withy Bed{1-3}. The site comprises a series of nine or ten small rectilinear enclosures or house platforms and fragments of field boundaries all of which were digitally plotted during the South Dorset Ridgeway Mapping Project.
