Summary

A seventeenth-century cottage, with walls of coursed rubble and flint, and a thatched roof. Some later additions. Surviving features of the interior reported as including chamfered ceiling beam, wall-plates, and an 18th-century ventilator.

Full Description

A two-storey house built of coursed rubble and flint, partly covered in render, and with a thatched roof. Thought to have been built in the 17th century, but with later alterations. The west front is symmetrical with three bays and a central doorway with sash windows on the ground floor and casement windows above. Interior features noted are exposed chamfered beam and wall-plates, and a store-room ventilator of small turned balusters, thought likely to be of 18th-century date. <1>
