Full Description
('A' - SY 64019833). A mound, probably a barrow, circa 14 yards diameter and 3ft high is situated about 220 yards south of Shearplace Hill settlement. <1>
('B'-SY 64029833) A mound, probably a barrow, circa 7 yards diameter and 1ft high situated about 10 yards east of mound 'A'. <2>
One of the two mounds situated south of Shearplace Hill settlement consisted wholly of flints and had been mostly destroyed. A small trench dug across the other mound showed the profile to be of ploughsoil over clay-with-flints. Mound 'A' has been destroyed and Mound 'B' ploughed out. <3>
