Summary
Remain of Cross. C15 or C16. Limestone. Square base with chamfered plinth, octagonal cross shaft with pyramid stops stands up to one metre above the base.

Full Description
The stump of the octagonal shaft of a stone cross, possibly 13th century, stands in Whitcombe churchyard, a little to the west of the south porch of the church. It is about 2 feet 8 inches high, twelve inches square at the base, slightly tapering towards the top, and is set into a socket-stone of later date. It is said to have been found during excavations in the churchyard. <1>
The cross stands at SY 71648829, and is as described above (see photo). <2>
