Full Description

David Carter supplied the following information. 'Mk XII test torpedo on seabed at 50 degrees, 34 mins, 40.86 seconds North 2 degrees, 24 mins, 12.48 seconds West. Outer casing badly corroded, 65% missing, including 100% of rear section. Broken in two but parts adjacent, forward section NE/SW orientation, rear section offset by 80 degress. 457.2 mm diameter (18 inches), each piece approx 3 m. long. Propulsion, Peter Brotherhood 4 cylinder burner cycle engine, cargo test ballast. Unique nose cone, thought to be either designed for air launching, or some type of homing device.'
