Full Description
(ST 59832038) Lady Chapel (NR) (site of) (NAT). (1)
Date of chapel not known. It fell into decay or was demolished at the time of the "Great Rebellion". The only thing remaining in the plot of ground in which it stood is a very old stone believed to be a grave stone. (2)
The little "parsons bell" in Trent Church came from the now extinct church at Adber (3). There was formerly a chapel at Adber which was demolished during the Civil War (4). A churchyard cross (ST 52 SE 9) was sited near St Mary's Chapel, Adber (5). (3-5)
The site lies under root crops and there is no trace of a building or building platform. Nothing is known of the date of this church which was under Trent but it is thought to have been a chapel of ease. (6)
