A disused chalk pit lies on the west side of the A350. A linear mound and a rounded mound lie on the other side of the road from the pit and are probably spoil tips associated with this chalk pit. (1)
It is marked as a quarry on the Ordnance Survey 25-inch epoch 1 map. (2) It is marked as a chalk pit on the Ordnance Survey 25-inch epoch 2 map. (3) It appears to be disused on the on the Ordnance Survey 25-inch epoch 3 map
