SY 4150 9959: Manor House (NR) (1)
Pilsdon Manor is a two-storeyed house with attics, built of rubble and with slate-covered roofs. It is of rectangular plan with a small wing on the north side, dating from the beginning of the 17th century with additions late in the same century.
The south front has a moulded string-course between the storeys and stone windows which have been partly restored. There are also some original windows at the back of the house.
Inside the building, the original north wing has a doorway with moulded jambs and a two-centred head. One fireplace retains itsfour-centred head and a first floor room has some early 17th century panelling. (2,3)
The house, which is known as Pilsdon Manor, was re-roofed in 1918 (a). It is as described by Authorities 2 and 3.
No information was obtained to confirm that it was a manor house. (4)
