Full Description
This barrow was 24 paces in diameter and 1.5 feet in height. <1>
Group of round barrows on Bincombe Hill: (E) Bowl (69168465) 280 yds. east of (D) on slight slope to north east below 500 ft. contour. Ploughed almost flat.
Warne's No 43 was probably the largest mound of the triple barrow 'A' and hit No 6 was almost certainly one of the others near it. <2>
'E' SY 69158465. Bowl barrow, now in grass but ploughed down. Diameter 21.0m, height 0.4m. No visible ditch. <4>
This group of barrows is probably part of those excavated by the Rev J J Smith in 1842. <6>
