Full Description

Excavations on the former James Brothers site, Blandford Road, Hamworthy in 2008-9 by Wessex Archaeology produced some Middle Iron Age pottery. These comprise both sand tempered sherds including a base from a well-burnished saucepan-pot and flint-tempered sherds of a fabric similar to Middle Iron Age pottery from Hengistbury Head.
