Summary

Bowl barrow, recorded in 1983 as having a diameter of 14 metres and a surviving height of 0.2 metre. No ditch was visible and the monument was ploughed in ley pasture. Its mound was of chalk and flint.

Full Description

This barrow was 22 paces in diameter and 1 foot in height.Found by LVG, 8.xi.53 <1> Bowl, 65ft. In diam and 1ft. High. Ploughed. <3> Three round barrows north of Brincombe Hill: (A) Bowl (?) ( 68738493) 325 yds. North-North-West of (SY 68 SE 34). Diameter about 65 ft., height 1ft. Ploughed. Three probable bowl barrows: 'A' SY 68728493. Diameter 14.0m., height 0.2m. No visible ditch. All in arable - at present under pasture. Re-surveyed at 1:2500 on M.S.D. <5>
