Summary

The foundations of a stone building dating to about 1300 were found under the southeast range of Scaplen's Court. Some of the footings had been reused by Scaplen's Court.

Full Description

Excavations by Poole Museum Service in 1985 revealed evidence for an earlier stone building on the site of Scaplen's Court dating to about 1300 on pottery evidence. Some of the footings had been reused by the Scaplen's Court structure. (1) (2)
