Summary

House of two storeys with cellars and attics, was built in the early 18th century. The front wall, in Flemish bond, with jambs and quoins in a darker colour brick than the main walling, has a coved plaster eaves cornice with later brackets. A plat band at first floor level steps up over the door way, which has a semicircular head and fanlight and is flanked by a pair of Tuscan columns supporting a semi circular pediment. The rear windows have segmental brick heads. The plan is L shaped, with a dogleg stair at right angles to the entrance passage. The house was partly refitted in the 19th century but retains much original fielded panelling. In the exposed west gable wall is a fragment of a timber framed building which formerly stood to the west. Demolished before 1970
