Full Description

A Second World War bomb crater is visible on aerial photographs of the 1940s to the south of Southbourne Overcliff Drive. The enclosure is sub-rectangular in shape and has an internal measurement of 6 by 4 m. The function of the enclosure is unclear. (1) The site is not visible on the most recent comprehensive aerial imagery available to the project. (2) This site was digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset).
