Summary
A group of parallel linear ditches running NW-SE are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1945. They are considered likely to be drainage ditches of post medieval or later date. These features are still partially visible on the most recent comprehensive aerial imagery available to the project.

A group of parallel linear ditches running NW-SE are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1945 (1). They are considered likely to be drainage ditches of post medieval or later date. These features are still partially visible on the most recent comprehensive aerial imagery available to the project (2), having since been overlain by a Twentieth Century golf course and modern SW-NE running drainage channels. This site was digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset).
