A scattered area of eight Second World War bomb craters is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs of 1946 in and around Green Island. The craters are visible as sub-circular depressions, one with a bank of spoil around it, measuring up to 12 m in diameter. (1) The craters are not visible on the most recent comprehensive aerial imagery available to the project. (2) This site was digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset).
