A group of linear ditches are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs of Sandford Bridge taken in 1945 (1). They are considered likely to be drainage ditches of post medieval or later date. These features are not visible on the most recent comprehensive aerial imagery available to the project (2), the area now being partially overgrown with scrub. This site was digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset).
