A Second World War bomb crater is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs of 1947 in the intertidal zone to the west of Shore Road. The crater is visible as sub-circular depression measuring 5 m in diameter, with a bank of spoil around it. (1) The site is not visible on the most recent comprehensive aerial imagery available to the project. (2) This site was digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset).
