An area of trackways of possible post medieval date is visible as earthworks on aerial photographs of 1947 extending to the south from Portland Track, Brownsea Island. The trackways are visible as linear ditches measuring up to 140 m in length, over an area measuring 140 m by 150 m. (1) This site is not visible on the most recent comprehensive aerial imagery available to the project. (2) This site was digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset).
