A possible post medieval wreck site is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs of 1947 in the intertidal zone to the north of Sandbanks. The site is visible as a sub-rectangular depression measuring 8 m by 4 m and may be the site of wrecked vessel. (1) The site is not visible on modern maps or the most recent comprehensive aerial imagery available to the project. (2) Two similar sites are located nearby to the north east and north west (see MDO28755 and MDO28757). This site was digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset).
