A number of areas of late post medieval drainage is visible as earthworks on aerial photographs of the 1940s and 1960s over a large area adjacent to the western bank of the River Stour.

Full Description
A number of areas of late post medieval drainage is visible as earthworks on aerial photographs of the 1940s and 1960s over a large area adjacent to the western bank of the River Stour. The area of drainage is visible over an area measuring approximately 885 m by 565 m. The drains are oriented south west-north east and north west-south east. (1-2) The drains still partially survive as earthworks on the most recent comprehensive aerial imagery available to the project. (3) This site was digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset).
