Full Description

Two areas of post medieval drainage are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs of 1947 to the south of Convent Meadows, adjacent to the eastern bank of the River Stour. The earthworks are visible as ditches over an area measuring approximately 180 m by 160 m, with drains oriented south west-north east and east-west. (1) The drains are not visible on the most recent comprehensive aerial imagery available to the project. (2) This site was digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset).
