A landing platform located on the river bank south of Wareham town, is visible on aerial photographs taken in 1945 (1). It is considered likely to be of post medieval or modern origin. This feature was digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset). It is no longer visible on the most recent comprehensive aerial photographs available to the project (2).
