The site of a possible historic quay located on the river bank south-east of Wareham town, is visible on aerial photographs taken in 1945 (1). This feature was digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset). It is not visible on the most recent comprehensive aerial images available to the project (2).
