A group of parallel linear ditches are visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs of Ridge taken in 1959 (1). It is considered likely they are the remains of post medieval or modern cultivation marks. They were digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset). These features are not visible on the most recent comprehensive aerial images available to the project (2), having since been built over by a modern housing development.
