Full Description

An enclosure, possibly associated with salt production, is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs of 1947 on Crouch Hill. The enclosure is sub-rectangular and has an internal measurement of 32 m by 17 m. A boundary lies parallel to the east of the enclosure and turns to the east at its southern end for a distance of 27 m. (1) The site is still visible as an earthwork on the most recent comprehensive aerial imagery available to the project. (2) This site was digitally plotted during the South West rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset).
