Summary

A medieval or post medieval boundary bank is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs of 1947 to the south of Grimbury Point. The boundary is located to the west of an area of post medieval drainage (see MDO28780) and may be associated with it.

Full Description

A medieval or post medieval boundary bank is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs of 1947 to the south of Grimbury Point. The boundary is located to the west of an area of post medieval drainage (see MDO28780) and may be associated with it. The bank is oriented north west- south east. It is visible in four sections and measures approximately 295 m in total length. (1) The site is still partially visible as an earthwork on the most recent comprehensive aerial imagery available to the project. (2) This site was digitally plotted during the South West rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset).
