A Second World War Type 22 pillbox is visible as a structure on aerial photographs of 1940 adjacent to the seafront to the south east of Cliff Drive. (1) This site is not visible on the most recent comprehensive aerial imagery available to the project. (2) This site was digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset).
