A group of possible building foundation bases, earthworks and trackways are visible as on aerial photographs of Arne Heath taken in 1947 (1) and 1949 (2). They are considered likely to be the remains of a possible training site associated with Second World War or modern military activities in this area. They were digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset). These features are not visible on the most recent comprehensive aerial images available to the project (3).
