Summary
Bronze Age bowl barrow, one of a group of five. Visible as a cropmark ring ditch 30m in diameter, with internal pit, on aerial photographs. The site was digitally plotted for the South Dorset Ridgeway Mapping Project. The pit seems likely to represent a burial of some sort.

Full Description
This barrow was 25 paces in diameter and 2 feet in height. On arable 1953. <1>
'D' Bowl (SY 69008533) 50 yards north east of 'C'. Diameter about 70 ft., ht. 2 ft. <3>
'D' SY 68998533. Diameter 18.0m, height 0.5m. No visible ditch. The barrows remain under plough. 'A', 'B', 'D' - Resurveyed at 1:2500 on MSD. <4>
This group of barrows is probably part of those excavated by the Rev J J Smith in 1842. <6>
