Monument record MDO28906 - Second World War anti tank cubes, Wick, Bournemouth
Please read our guidance about the use of Dorset Historic Environment Record data.
Summary
Three lines of Second World War anti tank cubes are visible as structures on aerial photographs of 1945 across the Broadway in Wick. The blocks are positioned in a break in the centre of a boundary bank which runs north to south cutting off the approach to Hengistbury Head (see MDO28905). The anti tank cubes and bank are probably associated with the defences around the Chain Home radar site (see MD28870) or RAF Southbourne (see MWX1164).
