Two circular features are visible as on aerial photographs of Arne Heath taken in 1947 (1). They are considered likely to be the remains of bomb craters associated with Second World War military activities in this area. They were digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset). These features are not visible on the most recent comprehensive aerial images available to the project (2), this area now obscured by vegetation.
