19th century or early modern beach huts are visible on aerial photographs of 1945 along the sea front to the south of Southbourne Coast Road. The beach huts consist of a group of nine buildings and two separate huts. (1) They are not visible on the most recent comprehensive aerial photography available to the project (2) This site was digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset).
