A circular feature, approximately 14.4m in diameter, is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs of Slepe Moor taken in 1947 (1). It is considered likely to be the remains of a bomb crater associated with Second World War activity in this area. This feature was digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset). It is still visible as a cropmark on the most recent comprehensive imagery available to the project (2).
